Milner Ecology undertook a BREEAM Schools (2008) assessment on behalf of Calderdale Council as part of the refurbishment programme of three Victorian schools in Calderdale.
The project involved assessment of all three schools against Units LE3, LE4, LE5 and LE6 of the BREEAM code. This involved Phase 1 Habitat survey, botanical survey and assessment of protected species potential and exploration of opportunities for ecological enhancement.
The adoption of ecological enhancement measures and the production of site management plans enabled the award of six credits out of a possible eight to the schools.Read More
