BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the most widely used environmental assessment method for new build developments and refurbishment of existing buildings. It provides the de facto measures used to describe the environmental performance of a building and is widely used in the sustainable design. With its straightforward scoring system, it provides an easy way to communicate the results of a survey to planners and builders so they can take local ecological and environmental issues fully into account in the decision-making process.

Milner Ecology Ltd meets the 'Suitably Qualified Ecologist' (SQE) Criteria which enables us to prepare code reports in relation to the Ecological Criteria (Eco 1-4). Our approach is to maximise the number of credits available to our clients, whilst achieving real ecological gains. We have experience of gaining ecological credits for the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) and BREEAM Schools projects which can be applied across the BREEAM portfolio.
